Eileen is the Director of Changing Lives' Arc Light in York. Eileen joined Changing Lives in 2009 as Manager of it’s first addictions and recovery project Eileen’s background is in criminal justice and she started her career working in a hostel supporting single homeless people in Gateshead.
Part of Gateshead Criminal Justice Team, she was involved in the roll out of the Government’s “Tough Choices” initiative which saw individuals supported into drug treatment services via the criminal justice system.
Eileen then worked as part of the management team that set up the first Community Integration Service in the area. The service supported people who were engaging with drug and alcohol services to access resources in their local community, including training and education. For a short period Eileen also managed the Gateshead Hospital Alcohol Service based at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
