About you

You will have experience of day-to-day maintenance, horticulture and basic construction techniques. Willing to work as part of a team to achieve positive outcomes for our clients.

Experience of working in an environment that is health and safety conscious. Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise. Commitment to detail, ensuring all work is accurate, concise and understandable. Able to work in a proactive manner, to come up with solutions to problems.

About the job

To provide day to day maintenance support for The Fells so that the buildings, environment and facilities are maintained to a high standard. Ensure day to day repairs and maintenance tasks are prioritised and carried out on time and on budget. Conduct regular inspection of The Fells to identify improvements required in building and facilities.

Support the planning for long term maintenance schedules and development of the gardens to enhance The Fells. Ensure that the agreed maintenance cycle for improvements, cleaning and painting is carried out. Managing any volunteering activity related to maintenance, gardening, cleaning and painting. Oversee the work of outside contractors for specific projects. Support the seasonal planting calendar and ongoing plant propagation. Support provision of fresh produce for use in The Fells catering department and for sale.
