FareShare receives generous donation to support hundreds more local people at risk of food poverty

FareShare North East and York, part of the charity Changing Lives, recently received a generous donation of $50,000 USD from Cramlington based pharmaceutical manufacturer MSD.

This large sum donation from MSD has enabled FareShare North East and York to purchase a chiller van which will make it possible for food to travel further distances, helping to reach more people at risk of food poverty in our community.

Changing Lives’ Golf Day raises thousands to help change lives through employment

Golfers from across the region recently rounded up their golf clubs and took to the course to raise a fantastic amount of just over £3,000 for national registered charity, Changing Lives.

The charity’s tenth Annual Golf Day, held at the City of Newcastle Golf Club, was a ‘swinging’ success thanks to the eighteen companies that took part and sponsored the event.

NATIONAL charity Changing Lives is hoping to attract some of the country’s leading businesses to sign up to its unique fundraising initiative ‘Put 5k to Work’. The business challenge will help to raise vital funds for the charity’s innovative Employment Service, which helps vulnerable people find long-term jobs.
