Changing Lives Collaboratively in Sunderland and South Tyneside

Changing Lives is supporting a pioneering partnership between Sunderland council and South Tyneside council to combat homelessness in the region.

The two councils have collaboratively been awarded £376,000 from the Government’s Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) Homelessness Prevention Fund, which will be used to provide targeted help and support to people temporarily without a home who may face having to sleep rough as a result.

hlw Keeble Hawson’s charity racing event accelerates support for vulnerable people

A racing event at hlw Keeble Hawson’s Doncaster office has boosted support for Changing Lives – a charity which provides specialist support for socially excluded and vulnerable people.

Carmelle Harold and Andrea McIntosh from Changing Lives highlighted how the charity supports 6,000 vulnerable people every month – and how its specialist support services for women and their families span dedicated recovery centres, temporary and long-term accommodation opportunities, and employment and volunteering opportunities.

Business leaders and second-home owners change lives through Charity Escapes

Changing Lives are delighted to be working in partnership with a new charity called Charity Escapes. The partnership offers anyone who is fortunate to own a holiday home an easy way to make a significant and valuable donation to Changing Lives, at minimal cost to themselves.

Several high-profile business people have already signed up to support Changing Lives by donating a short break in their holiday home and more are being added all the time.
