A former graduate of the Oaktrees recovery programme in Gateshead is hosting a charitable concert in aid of Changing Lives, the charity that helped him 3 years ago.

Joe Wilson is now a musician and teacher, and is leaving the North East region to pursue a career in London. The concert, set to be held in Seaham Town Hall on August 3rd 2016, is a farewell to the region which saw his recovery from substance misuse.

The Oaktrees programme is a 12-step recovery programme which focuses on an intensive supportive environment in the early stages of abstinence.

Entertainment will include performances from Mr. Wilson’s current students. Tickets are £5 and the event begins at 7.30pm.
