Seven volunteers from Northumbrian Water Asset strategy Team spent a day transforming the outside area of Changing Lives Accommodation Service in Blyth, Northumberland.

IMG_5340The yard between the two blocks of accommodation was in need of some TLC and was hardly used by any of the residents.

The team spent time painting the walls and wooden furniture.
They also painted the gazebo, hung up wall art and tidied up
the plants in the planters to make the area a tranquil and pleasant space for residents to sit.

Staff from Northumbrian Water Building Service team also installed a new key lock to the courtyard gate meaning that the garden can now be easily accessed by the residents.

Huge thanks to the whole team for their time and support. They have created a beautiful area for both clients and staff to use.

I think Changing lives is a great organisation and I truly believe in the work they do to help people change their lives and give them a chance to get their lives back. We're pleased to be helping create a lovely courtyard it's been a great challenge for us.
