Hobson Golf Club, who have adopted Changing Lives as their Charity of the Year, are celebrating their recent success of winning the North Durham Golf Union, Division 3 Championship. The golf club beat six other local teams on their way to winning the coveted first place.

The club has hosted a number of fundraising golf days to help support the charity. The adoption is in full swing and over the course of the year, the club has raised over £2,000 for Changing Lives.

All the money raised by Hobson Golf Club will go towards Changing Lives’ Employment Service which provides opportunities for people who are ready for independence and employment as their next steps to change their lives. The Service works with supporting businesses that help to provide quality placements, training and volunteering opportunities for clients.

Val Nevin, Assistant Director at Changing Lives thanks the Golf Club for their support.

Val said:

“Our Employment Service helps people with some of the biggest barriers to the job market to get employment ready and secure sustainable jobs. With the help of supporters and  businesses we can continue to provide these life changing services for our clients. I would like to say a big thank you to Hobson Golf Club for all of their support to Changing Lives. It’s much appreciated.”
