Computer repair company Danntec, based in Newcastle, have partnered with Changing Lives to donate a percentage of their repairs sales to us each month. The small business has donated over £500 to us since December and plan to continue sharing a proportion of their sales to support our services in the North East!
Michael Dann, founder of Danntec, tells us:
“We chose to support Changing Lives after looking for a charity who worked in our local area to help those who are homeless. Having a space to call our own gives many of us great pride but also keeps us grounded, and spurs us on to work and maintain that space and those who live in it with us. To lose it and not have a support network to help must be absolutely devastating.
We are pleased to offer a share of the sales of our refurbished computers to Changing Lives to help them continue their great work at tackling this problem in our community”
We are delighted that Danntec have chosen to support us in this way. The money donated will make a huge difference to our projects, especially at during difficult time as we continue to offer our frontline services throughout the coronavirus outbreak. The donation will help us to provide vital items like PPE, food parcels, mobile phones and isolation packs, to help the people we support stay safe, well and connected.
Danntec have been busy during the ongoing lockdown period and are about to launch their ‘Donate & Renovate’ service, where people can donate their unwanted computers to be fully refurbished and upgraded, so that they can be given to any families struggling with digital exclusion at this time. Organisations like Changing Lives will be able to purchase new drives for the PCs, whilst Danntec will provide all other labour, software and upgrades free of charge.
