Rudi's Hairdressing are a Cut Above - My CMS

Our largest accommodation project, Elliott House, offers a safe place to stay for people at risk of homelessness, or who are already sleeping rough. We provide stability at the start of someone’s journey to independent living while they get help and support to tackle other issues.

We couldn’t continue this lifechanging work without the support of businesses and local community groups, who provide vital donations as well as volunteering their time and skills.

One of our regular supporters is Rudi’s Hairdressing in Denton Park Shopping Centre. Since Christmas, Donna (pictured below with Senior Support Worker Aimee Armstrong) and her team have been supporting Elliott House in Newcastle with regular donations of clothing, underwear, and towels.

The team’s most recent donations were purchased using money they’d raised from football cards.

“These donations will make a real difference,” Lyndsay Sholder, Project Lead at Elliott House said. “They’ll be given to men who come in directly from sleeping rough in the streets – often with no personal belongings.”

Changing Lives would like to thank Donna and her team for their continued support.
