At your wedding

A wedding or civil partnership is a special day for loved ones to get together and choosing to support Changing Lives adds a special personal touch and makes your day even more memorable. Your donations will help fund our vital services across the UK.
How to fundraise on your wedding day
Get started by setting up an In Celebration Just Giving page in just a few minutes - you can make your page special by adding photos and your story. Place donation envelopes at each table setting and collect Gift Aid information too which could increase donations by 25% at no extra cost. You can also have collection tins placed across your venue. Request your envelopes and collection tins by calling 07857 501821 or emailing fundraising@changing-lives.org.uk.
If guests can’t make it to your wedding, ask them to donate instead. Making a donation is the perfect way to say congratulations if they can’t say it in person. Add a note on your wedding invitations to say that you are asking for donations for Changing Lives and explain why you chose Changing Lives. You could either ask people to make donations on the day or ask for donations instead of gifts. Mention Changing Lives in your speech, thanking anyone who has donated and announce how much you’ve raised so far.

Celebrate your birthday and help us support people who are experiencing the most challenging of circumstances by setting up a Birthday Just Giving page and ask for donations in lieu of gifts of birthday drinks.
Fundraising on your birthday
Set a target on your online giving page and ask people to add Gift Aid if they’re a UK taxpayer, this will increase their donation by 25% at no extra cost. Get in touch with your manager or HR team to see if your employer offers ‘Matched Giving’. It’s an easy way to double your fundraising as your employer will agree to match the amount you raise. You can find more materials (e.g. posters, sponsorship form) and information about us here. Tell people about it about your fundraiser. Add your story and photos to your online giving page, then share on your social media channels. Our Fundraising Team will help you as much as you need.
