Recovery Relay 2018
Calling all bike riders, fun runners, paragliders, vintage car owners, baton twirlers, roller skaters… We’re looking for wacky and wonderful people to take part in our first ever Recovery Relay in July!
What is it?
The Recovery Relay is a four-day fundraising event to support people to find recovery from addiction.
We’re looking for participants to show support and raise vital funds for our recovery services across the North East and Yorkshire by joining our Recovery Relay team.
From Sunday 15th July to Wednesday the 18th July our 2018 Recovery Relay team will cover the distance from our northernmost recovery project in Berwick down to our most southern recovery project in York.
The full distance is 218 miles, but you don’t have to commit to the entire route.
All sponsorship money raised will directly help people using our recovery services.
So if you are in recovery, support someone who is, or just want to take part in a fun fundraising event this summer, we want to hear from you!
How can I get involved?
You can join us for as little or as much of the route as you like – whether you spend an hour with us or a full four-days, you’ll be part of something wonderful.
Sign up as an individual or with a group of friends. The more the merrier. Or join us as part of a corporate team to boost your CSR credentials and staff morale!
You can travel along the route in any way you like. The weirder and wackier the better. Fancy dress? Baton twirling? Rollerskating? Do it YOUR way!
There are also side events including a football tournament in Gateshead, a skydive in Shotton, and the national Three Peaks Challenge.
By taking part, you’ll be helping to raise awareness of the outstanding work of our drug and alcohol teams across the country, celebrate the achievements of the people that our services support through recovery and raise funds to continue this life-changing support.
