Every year on the 31st of August, Changing Lives chooses to support #OverdoseAwarenessDay because we recognise through enhanced awareness of overdose and drug-related death, we can help to prevent overdose and ensure there is always space for discussion, free of stigma.
We know that overdose is preventable, it is not inevitable.
At Changing Lives, we recognise that recovery from substance misuse is a journey for every person affected. And we know that – with the correct support throughout – it is possible. Our dedicated drug and alcohol services offer tailored support to guide people in any stage of their recovery journey. We are on hand to help people take their steps towards abstinence and support their ongoing recovery across the North East and Yorkshire.
We champion International Overdose Awareness Day’s mission to #EndOverdose by advocating for more discussion about overdose prevention and drug policy.
