Do you want to make a difference? Are you looking to gain experience of support type work whilst keeping your current commitments? Do you want to earn money whilst studying? Do you want to pick and choose your own shifts? If so, look no further.
Changing Lives is a national charity that supports over 17,000 people each year. We are a well-respected, growing organisation dedicated to supporting the most vulnerable people across the UK.
We began as a soup run supporting people who were homeless in the North East over 45 years ago, and are proud to still have our main base and central office in the North East. Since 1970, our services have grown and developed to support people experiencing a wide range of personal challenges, including addiction and recovery programmes, employment guidance, help for people in prison or on probation, and support for people experiencing sexual exploitation or domestic abuse.
We’re looking for committed and compassionate professionals who share our enthusiasm for changing lives.
We have significantly expanded over the past few years and continue to do so, this is an exciting time to join us.
You should be a caring, people person who will thrive on working with service users to make positive steps towards living safe, stable and fulfilled lives.
You should be able to see through challenging behaviour and recognise the potential in individuals with complex needs.
You will gain experience and knowledge from working in our services and should you already have experience of working with vulnerable adults & young people this is great but if not, do not worry we can help develop you with on-the-job training.
You will be able to pick and choose your shifts and although we do aim to give as much notice as possible; we do ask that you are flexible as we have shifts covering days, evenings and nights over 7 days a week.
But remember you choose which shifts work best for you and fit around your life – you can only work Monday to Friday days? That’s fine……You can only work nightshift on a weekends? That’s fine too!
