Role Description
To assist the project to increase its resources to provide better services, amenities and develop meaningful activities.
Key responsibilities
- Planning for and managing of fundraising events
- Handling donor acknowledgements and thank you letters
- Helping to inspire other volunteers to run events and fundraise
- Developing new and imaginative fundraising activities, some of which may be events-based
- Raising awareness of the charity and its work
- Making grant applications
Skills, experience and abilities
- Experience of fundraising (desirable)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good listening skills
- Experience in presenting information
- Experience in liaising effectively with a range of people at all levels
- Strong interpersonal skills
- A team player
- Empathy and understanding of the issues experienced by local people in crisis
- Self-motivator and inspirer
- Open minded, with a non-judgemental approach to addiction and recovery
