Introduction to Service

The aim of this service is to support women serving a custodial sentence or on remand at HMP Peterborough who are survivors of sexual assault/abuse and/or domestic violence/abuse, and to improve their mental health and wellbeing, enabling them to feel empowered to move forward in all aspects of their recovery.

A substantial number of women in prison are also survivors of sexual violence and/or domestic abuse. Our goal is to provide access to psychological interventions and practical release planning, in order to reduce risk of further victimisation.
