At Changing Lives, we believe in the power of community, compassion, and connection. Every year, the Great North Run brings together tens of thousands of runners, each with a story, a reason, and a cause close to their heart. For us, it’s a moment to celebrate the incredible individuals who choose to run in support of our mission—helping people facing homelessness, addiction, abuse, and poverty across the North East and beyond.
This year, we were thrilled to partner with Unique Magazines, a local independent publishing company, to create something truly special for our runners.
A Collaboration Rooted in Community
When we reached out to Unique Magazines with the idea of creating runner packs, we hoped to offer something meaningful—something that would inspire and uplift those running on our behalf.
The team at Unique Magazines went above and beyond. They reached out to their indie publishing partners, and the response was incredible.
- Ultra Magazine, a passionate newcomer to the Unique Magazines store, generously donated 30 copies.
- Like the Wind Magazine, a long-time supporter of indie running culture, contributed 36 copies.
Thanks to their kindness, every runner supporting Changing Lives received a beautifully curated pack filled with stories of endurance, passion, and purpose—mirroring the very spirit of the Great North Run.
