Changing Lives is proud to announce our partnership with real estate firm Avison Young, which will provide essential support to several life-changing initiatives across the North East. This partnership will directly benefit individuals experiencing hardship, helping to create safer, more supportive environments and stronger communities.
"These projects will provide more than just practical help — they’ll create spaces for healing, learning, and belonging."
Avison Young is supporting three transformative projects led by Changing Lives:
- Community Support Hub – Erimus House, Middlesbrough: A pilot initiative creating a peer-led advice and support hub, offering guidance on housing, benefits, and mental health for people affected by social isolation, domestic abuse, and poor mental health.
- Garden Redevelopment – Virginia House, Newcastle: A project to transform outdoor spaces into peaceful, therapeutic gardens. The redeveloped areas will offer residents space to relax, develop new skills, and build community, while also contributing to environmental regeneration and climate resilience.
- Community Allotment – Alex’s Place, Newcastle: Redeveloping a disused allotment into a thriving community space, this initiative will offer residents in homeless accommodation opportunities for education, personal growth, and meaningful connection.
