Mental Health Assertive Outreach Team
Recovery and Wellbeing
Introduction to Service
The Mental Health Assertive Outreach Team is a strength-focused, trauma informed approach to recovery from poor mental health.
We emphasise building good relationships, peer support and self-management in the community of North Tyneside.
We adopt a holistic approach to support, assisting people to attend GP and hospital appointments and empowering them to engage with DWP, housing providers and local community wellbeing projects.
With regular one-to-ones, we will listen to the people we work with to develop a care plan to assist long-term recovery from poor mental health, which will break down isolation and fear of the wider community.
