To celebrate our 50th Anniversary this year, we are celebrating all things Changing Lives, sharing stories from people who have accessed our services, volunteers and staff.

This week we are sharing one woman’s experience of accessing our domestic abuse services during the pandemic.

” In the last 12 months, changing lives has been such a huge support, not just for myself but also for my children. After being free from domestic violence and going through court trials, and coming to terms with my mental health, we were thrown in at the deep end in the middle of the pandemic too. I genuinely couldn’t find a way out and broke down many times. If it weren’t for Changing Lives, I certainly wouldn’t be where I am today.

The team helped me make sense of lots of behaviours and made me believe in myself again, getting me to where I am right now. I will be forever in debt to your team and grateful for absolutely everything from the start and going forward. ”
