Changing Lives in Middlesbrough and North Yorkshire - My CMS

This week Changing Lives launches two new specialist supported housing projects in Middlesborough and North Yorkshire.

Middlesbrough Refuge

Middlesbrough Refuge is our new specialist service for women and children who are experiencing Domestic Abuse.

It provides a safe space for women and families with onsite support to help them gain skills and confidence to move forward.

Support includes help with finances, schooling, life skills, peer and emotional support, and help moving on to permanent accommodation. Residents can also access Trauma recovery programmes, family activities and confidence-building.

The service is for women aged 16+ who are experiencing domestic abuse and their children aged 3-18 years old.

North Yorkshire Recovery Housing

In Harrogate, we have launched five dispersed properties for people experiencing homelessness and drug and alcohol addiction. The specialist service will work closely with North Yorkshire Horizons Drug and Alcohol service and support residents around their recovery and housing needs. Our friendly, experienced team will offer personalised for every person to help them transition into independent living and will always be on hand to support, listen and talk.

This service is accessed through a referral through North Yorkshire horizons. It is for anyone living in North Yorkshire that is currently experiencing homelessness and that is receiving addiction treatment.
