From building site to glitzy dinner, Keepmoat’s charity dinner raises £10,000 for Changing Lives - My CMS

Housebuilder, Keepmoat Homes and its partners recently swapped high-vis for black tie for an evening to raise funds for North East based, national charity, Changing Lives.

Over 200 Keepmoat employees, suppliers and subcontractors donned their glad-rags for the charity dinner, raffle and auction, where everyone dug deep for Changing Lives, who provide specialist support services for 21,000 vulnerable people and their families every year, helping people to make positive and lasting changes in their lives.

The event was held at The Biscuit Factory in Newcastle and is Keepmoat’s second charity fund raising dinner.

Richard Bass, Regional Managing Director for Keepmoat, said:

“We’re delighted to have raised such a substantial amount for Changing Lives and would like to thank our suppliers and subcontractors for supporting what was a really enjoyable evening.  The money raised will provide much needed funds for the charity, which was established 45 years ago here in the North East.

“Keepmoat prides itself in supporting and improving communities and a large part of this involves engaging with and supporting local charities and good causes wherever possible.”

Stephen Bell OBE, CEO of Changing Lives, said:

“On behalf of the 21,000 people Changing Lives supports across the country each year, I’d like to say a massive thank you to Richard Bass and the Keepmoat team for all their hard work and enthusiasm in arranging such a fantastic and fun night which was so well supported by Keepmoat suppliers, friends and staff.

The work we do in the North East and beyond supports people at the edge of society, facing unimaginable hardship including homelessness, sexual exploitation, domestic violence, life threatening addictions and barriers to employment.

Businesses such as Keepmoat are key to the success of our frontline services and we were delighted they chose to support our work. Together we are Changing Lives.”
