Every September, Changing Lives supports Recovery Month’s work, continuing to challenge stigmas and increase awareness, believing that anyone is capable of beginning their recovery journey.
This September marks the 32nd anniversary of National Recovery Month, offering us a chance to celebrate the incredible achievements of the recovery community.
This year’s theme, “Recovery is For Everyone: Every Person, Every Family, Every Community” reflects our views at Changing Lives, as we believe everyone deserves a life free from addiction.
With increased awareness and evidenced-based recovery practises offered here at Changing Lives, anyone can begin their journey to recovery. Our tailored drug and alcohol services support people in the North East and Yorkshire at any stage of their recovery process.
To continue our vital work, offering services for those who have been dealt the most challenging of circumstances, donate here.
Continue breaking the stigma on social media, using the hashtags #MakeRecoveryTheEpidemic and #recoverymonth.
To find out more about our services, for yourself or someone you love, please see this page: https://www.changing-lives.org.uk/services/
Our recovery projects will be marking the month in their own way, if you are in York there is a recovery walk and picnic taking place on the 6th of September. Attendees are encouraged to wear purple in aid of Recovery Month.
Keep an eye on our social media and website to keep up to date with all the ways in which we are going to celebrate Recovery Month this September.
