Pulsant and Keepmoat raise thousands for Changing Lives through VIP Newcastle United match day experience - My CMS

Pulsant, a leading UK provider of hybrid cloud solutions, and housebuilder Keepmoat Homes have helped to raise £10,000 for the north-east-based charity Changing Lives through the auctioning of a VIP football experience.

Pulsant donated its Level 6 Executive Box at Newcastle United’s St James’ Park, for use during the club’s recent match against Huddersfield Town, to Changing Lives. The box was auctioned off at a charity dinner held by Keepmoat Homes, with all proceeds from the evening — £10,000 in total — going towards Changing Lives.

George Sanger, regional director (north east), Pulsant, says:

“Pulsant has been a supporter of Changing Lives for a number of years. With its headquarters in the north east, Changing Lives is one of the prominent charities in the region, and as such, we have been involved in many of its fundraising activities. We are delighted to have helped raise the magnificent sum of £3,000 through the donation of our corporate box at St James’ Park, and we hope the winners had a fantastic day out.”

The successful bidder was Mick Hammond of HMH Civil Engineering, who attended the match alongside several of Keepmoat Homes’ apprentices. As well as a first-class view of the game from the private box seating area, all attendees enjoyed a champagne reception followed by a three-course dinner.

Richard Bass, regional managing director at Keepmoat Homes in the North East, says:

“We are delighted to support Changing Lives, which helps thousands of vulnerable people and their families across the UK, including here in the North East where the charity was first founded. The Keepmoat Homes Mission is ‘Building Communities Transforming Lives’. It’s really important to us to support and improve the communities we work in and one key part of this is our work with both local and national charitable organisations. Working alongside Changing Lives fits right into this.

“There are a lot of people to thank for the money we raised for Changing Lives, including Pulsant, our suppliers and sub-contractors and of course our colleagues. It was a fantastic gesture that HMH Civils did. To purchase the box for the day and then take some of our Trainees and apprentices just goes to show how important collaborative working is between HMH Civils and Keepmoat Homes.

“It’s so important to recognise the hard work of our apprentices, who are an integral part of our team and our future workforce and it was great that Mick was able to do this whilst supporting Changing Lives too.”

Stephen Bell OBE, chief executive, Changing Lives, says:

“The money raised from the auction of the box at St James’ Park will make a significant contribution to people experiencing hardship in the North East and beyond. Changing Lives helps over 17,500 people across the North and Midlands to make lasting changes to their lives each year; people facing significant barriers to well-being such as homelessness, domestic violence, addictions, sexual exploitation, long-term unemployment and more.

We can’t help people to make these changes without the support of generous donors and corporate supporters such as Pulsant and Keepmoat. £10,000 is a life-changing amount of money and we’re delighted to benefit from their generosity.”
