Durham law firm Swinburne Maddison LLP have joined Changing Lives' Reverse Advent Calendar Campaign, collecting toiletries, toys and gift sets to donate to people who use our services.

We are delighted that Swinburne Maddison have chosen Changing Lives as one of the beneficiaries of their 2019 Christmas Giving Campaign. After the success of last year’s collection collecting for the Trussell Trust, the team are extending their collection to include items for our Reverse Advent Calendar.

A collection point has been set up at the Swinburne Maddison office in Aykley Heads, Durham, for toiletries, toys, gift sets and more to be distributed to people we support in the local area. In County Durham we have several accommodation projects for people who have experienced homelessness, including specialist support for young people.

So it’s extra special that the firm’s Family Team are leading the collection, saying:

We’re delighted to be supporting Changing Lives with their Reverse Advent Calendar Campaign. Within the Family team at Swinburne Maddison we often see the hardship people face around the festive period. This campaign helps to relieve both the emotional and financial burden that this time of year can bring, allowing families to focus on enjoying Christmas with their loved ones.

Last year Changing Lives received gifts and donations totalling £12,000 to make Christmas special for the people we support. We’re hoping that this year’s Reverse Advent Calendar will be our biggest and best yet.
