About the job
We have an exciting opportunity available for a Support Worker [Nights] within our accommodation services based in York. This role supports vulnerably-housed people both in a hostel and a community setting.
You will work as part of our Housing Management Night Team to ensure individuals are adhering to their licence agreement and accommodation terms and respond to any anti-social behaviour, incidents or disruption in the building or in the local community.
You will also be responsible for maintaining a high standard of building management and the health and welfare needs of residents. This role involves daily cleaning duties which includes the voiding of rooms and room support. You will also be responsible for ensuring the building is safe and secure at all times.
The ideal candidate will have experience of supporting socially disadvantaged and vulnerable people and a willingness to work with clients who may demonstrate challenging behaviour.
An NVQ Level 2 in Social Care or another equivalent appropriate qualification is desirable but not essential.
